I've been blessed to have lived for the past few years in the sub tropical hinterland of the Northern Rivers of New South Wales, Australia. Close to Byron Bay, in the vibrant and colourful town of Mullumbimby.

The natural beauty of this area with it's ideal climate and stunning beaches, has encouraged the growth of a melting pot of cultural diversity over many years, bringing with it a rich platter of musically creative and artistic people.

Immersing myself in this culture as an active percussionist, I recently discovered the ancient magic of an "overtone flute". Such an easy instrument to begin to play, yet so full of unique musical opportunity, it is also ideal for the accomplished flutist.

I was so impressed, and wanted one of my own to play, I began to experiment and develop the flute further. They have now evolved to a stage of development that produces an original, unique and delightful work of art.

As I played the "overtone flute" for the first time I was instantly taken to a place we usually only ever get a short glimpse of. I think we all know this place, this feeling. A place we feel at one with the self and our natural environment. Some would say, this is the felt experience of enlightenment. For me, It is a place that only a light seems to shine.
